General Decker Community Service

Scholarships Winners!

 

In 2021, we established the General Oscar Decker and Mrs. Decker Community Service Scholarships. These scholarships are a reflection of the applicant's involvement in education, sports, community, and volunteer programs. We've allotted one scholarship for each of the four high schools.

In 2026, we increased the award amount to $3,000.

At our May 2026 meeting, we honored the four very deserving winners of this year's Decker scholarships.

In 2017, the UCMFSG, with the help of many local agencies including the Disabled American Vets (DAV) and Marysville Knights of Columbus, established an Educational Assistance Fund for the purpose of assisting veterans, active duty and reserve, retirees, and their families with the high costs of education and training. 

​

Each year, up to $2,000 in educational grants can be awarded to any Union County veteran or active/guard member and family. Training is not limited to college applicants. Technical and Professional training from a certified facility is also accepted. Applications are available from January 1 - March 31 each year.
